Arts Council in partnership with local artists and arts organizations in
Smithers, Hazelton and Kispiox. You are invited to help us bring a community
spectacle to life in 2015. It will involve puppets, dancers, music. People of
all ages. We have started with 4 days of intensive INSPEC (Institute of
Spectacle) research. We imagine giant salmon, darting fry, flowing fabric

Workshop Description: Artists Cathy Stubington (Run Away Moon Theatre,
Enderby), Ewa Sniatycka (Art Mobile, Lake Cowichan Valley) and Miriam Colvin
(our local Smithereen!) will offer a fun block printing workshop. We will
INVESTIGATE the images that come to mind when we think of
water/fish/home/threat. We will CREATE relief block printing on rice paper or fabric inspired
by the motion and power of salmon captured in the current Gallery exhibit by
Rod Brown. No experience necessary.<br style>
