Groundbreakers’ Winter Harvest Box Program is all about eating locally,
getting closer to the source of your food,

and supporting agriculture in the Bulkley Valley.

Produce comes from a dozen small farms and producers from Hazelton to
Quick. All products are seasonal, and veggies and fruits are organic,
natural or wild-crafted. Some of what you’ll find in a Harvest Box:
potatoes, onions, garlic, squash, carrots, cabbage, beets, salad greens,
frozen blueberries or strawberries, dried mushrooms, fresh sprouts,
pickles, and more. Box Plans come in family and single sizes.



*Get closer to the source of your food*

The Harvest Box is more than a monthly box of veggies. You’ll work
alongside our producers on their family farms during the summer and early
fall. Depending on your Box Plan, you’ll contribute four to 25 service
hours. It’s a great chance to get your hands dirty and reduce the cost of
your Harvest Box. Farm work-bees are family friendly… and fun!

*Support agriculture in the Bulkley Valley*

By buying a Harvest Box in the spring, you invest in local producers,
supporting them when they need it most. And in the absence of local markets
during the winter months and the modern reliance on imported food, it’s a
challenge for producers to market their products year-round. The Harvest
Box Program builds infrastructure that strengthens our local economy.



A Winter Harvest Box also makes an exceptional gift for that special
person, family or community organization. And it’s quite possibly the best
