JUNE EXHIBITION at the SMITHERS ART GALLERY
 

 
 
 

The Smithers Art Gallery's June exhibition, "Craft as Art", is our bi-annual
Members' Show which showcases the work of all our members. This year the
show is loosely thematic based around the concept of "Craft as Art",
exhibiting items that are hand-crafted for functional, everyday use - or
items that are created from everyday items - yet which also convey an
intrinsic artistic expression in their own right. This is a wonderful
opportunity to see the wide variety of forms that our community's creativity
takes.

 

Exhibition dates: May 29 to June 30, 2012

 

Opening reception: Friday June 1, from 7-9pm. Refreshments served, all
welcome!

 

Art activities: The Gallery offers FREE drop-in art activities for kids,
9am-12pm, every Saturday from May through August during the Farmers' Market.

            

*NEW* Gallery summer hours: Tuesday-Friday, 12pm-5pm; Saturday 9am-4pm
